About IELTS
IELTS is an abbreviation for International English Language Testing System. The examination is recognized on a global scale and aims at testing the understanding of a candidate in English through reading, writing, speaking and listening. ELTIS is jointly owned group that has the British Council and IDP that sets the tone for wide recognition including more than 800 locations spread across 130 countries.
Going through the ELTIS examination, a candidate is able to make into the top notch institutes of the world including foreign Universities, schools, colleges, Government agencies, Professional bodies, Multinational companies, etc.
The popularity and confidence of this test lies at its structure that aims at testing the candidates in key areas and developing a comprehensive approach to acknowledge only the deserving. The examination is available under two sets, namely, Academic and General Training. Though, the listening module remains constant for both, candidates are provided with different Modules on Reading and Writing. Here is a simple table that would provide a transparent understanding about the test.
Every section is marked on the scale of 1 to 9 depending upon the performance of the candidate and moreover, there is nothing such as pass or fail in the examination. There are a total 4 sections; therefore, the final score is obtained by adding the sum total of marks obtained in all four stages.
There are about 3 to 4 ELTIS tests held every month, so there is enough opportunities to prepare for it. The cost of such examination is about Rs. 8, 900.
